This building has been used for many different events and types of entertainment. From being an Odeon cinema to a Snooker hall. The space has now been refurbished into two businesses – a children’s soft play area downstairs and a theatre upstairs.
As it was originally a theatre space, certain aspects can still be seen within the new refurbishment. Such as, the children’s play frame now sits where the stage used to be. Also the party rooms were originally dressing rooms for the performers.
It was a long process to get the theatre to the beautiful art deco standard it is now. The gallery below shows various images of how the building was before we began the restoration. The original features of the building have been kept as much as possible with some additions.
